hummel and its Japanese licensee, SSK Corporation, have signed a 2-year sponsorship deal with Charlton Athletic FC and Denmark winger Dennis Rommedahl.

The deal implies that Rommedahl will wear hummel boots in all Charlton Athletic FC and Danish national team fixtures and take active part in the development of future hummel football footwear ranges. Additionally, Dennis Rommedahl will be used marketing purposes in hummel countries around the world.

“We are very happy to have signed this sponsorship deal with Dennis Rommedahl. This will help our footwear department develop even better football boots along with the fact that Dennis Rommedahl is a well-known face playing in the English Premier League – probably the best exposed football league in the world - which will strengthen the hummel brand world wide even further”, hummel CEO Søren Schriver states and adds,

“We really look forward to working even closer with Dennis, who has been wearing our boots for some years now. During that time we have built a strong relationship, which has now been realized through this deal. On top of that we are delighted with the excellent start Dennis has had this season scoring in Denmark’s game against England as well as last week against Middlesbrough in the Premier League”, Søren Schriver concludes.
